we are having fun. thank for posting that link; I had no idea how epic the LED screen looks behind us! no bullshit banner can ever top that.
we're 2 shows in, so honored to be here on this tour. shows have been sold out I believe at about 1,000 capacity. Almost feel like it's easier to play for a good sized croud than to a room of 30... weird. Feed back has been great on our new tunes and I can tell some are familiar with our material which is nice.
Jet lag was the worst this time though, but I finally feel normal and caught up on sleep. Didn't even see Friborg, but did spend a full day in Milan checking out sights with our new friend Paulo.
15 hour bus ride from Switzerland to Netherlands. Toti boys got hammered.
we're on a double decker bus with the Mastocrew, all great guys, especially Darren, Troy's brother who we've known for ages and loves to party.
Tonight, Amsterdam. Time to get stupid ; /

Here are live shots by our bro Lars Jansen at Melkweg in Amsterdam
http://larsjansen.posterous.com/new-live-photos-totimoshi-melkweg-amsterdam-n
and some candids from Amsterdam:
We're in Berlin today.. Germany seems as if it's covered in ice. must be very careful when getting off the bus, loading equipment in and out of clubs..
getting to know the Masto crew; a few days on a bus together helps loosen tongues. . they head off to South America with Metallica after this.
Started the tour with a cold, gave it to Tony.. now Brent and Bill are feeling sick. Lucky for all, the dining room at the club today had a juicer with a huge pile of veggies, fruits and ginger.
Amsterdam was great; I love the architecture of that city. Got to hang out with my friend Guy (Acid King/Goatsnake/Thorr's Hammer)
and also met Walter who is the organizer for Roadburn. The show was sold out at 1,500. Scalpers were selling tickets for 100 euro outside. I should figure a way to sell guest list spots. We'll be stoked to break even on this tour.

Hey Meg!
You probably don't recognize me anymore but I bought one of your tourposters in Amsterdam.
Thanks for signing it!
I saw you last year with Helmet but you really blew me away this time. I'm gonna do my best to be at the show in Rotterdam since Roadburn was sold out in 20 mins.
cheers!

Hello
It's really cool to read your impressions from the tour.
I saw you play yesterday (Feb. 10) in Frankfurt, the show was amazing! That LED screen really does look great.
I'm the guy who bought a CD and asked for a band button
I'm listening Milagrosa right now and I love it. It's always amazing to find new music through concerts. I wonder why I had never heard of Totimoshi before.
I wish you a good experience on your tour, I guess reducing the mileage was not the priority when booking, you guys really are zigzagging through Europe! I wish you many sold out concerts Shouldn't be too much of a problem, Mastodons last album really blew everyones mind.
Glad to hear you're coming back for seconds! |

I think almost all the shows are sold out on this tour, including the venues in the UK and Scotland which are 3,000+ capacity. I'll have to mentally prepare for that size audience!
Even though we've been around for 11 years, we just started to tour in Europe. Our album distro has been spotty even in the states, but access to our music has gotten better because of myspace, amazon and eBay. so cool to see people rocking out and singing lyrics to the new tunes. |

some images from Frankfurt -

merch table, Chris and Lou
beautiful Vienna - reminded me a bit of Salzburg. Amazing architecture, domes, statues, snow covered rooftops - just divine.
the Vienna show was one of the best of the tour for us. loudest audience response and they bought up tons of merch. Mastodon and their crew have been so generous, loading and setting up our gear, letting us in their hotel rooms to shower and sleep...sweet hearts.
