Just a quick appreciation thread for those of us who miss the voice and ramblings and vault-size music collection of Dave.
It's been some time since the last OG, but fortunately there's the huge archive of music to listen to meanwhile. I'm always amazed at how the genres mix effortlessly on the show, it never seems forced or clumsy. I've discovered tons of great music on Obdurate Ground, so I think a big 'Thank You' is in order.
So here's to the velvet voice of KMBT: Whatever crazy adventures you are getting into these days, rest assured that we'll be waiting here with our ears open.
I'm gonna go download last years Hawkwind special now, I missed it the first time around. (EDIT: OG051208 & OG051908 not working, damn!) |

| Yes, Dave's unique voice and blend of music was the perfect way to start off my weeks. Hope all's well and can't wait to hear what's in store down the road. |

Thank you,
Shit is thick these days, and sometimes I kick myself.
I feel that this is not such an exuse to be late,
but sometimes it is just.
Trying to re establish my life.
I do my best to conduit that to ye who listen.
Now I go to Europe...
Thank you.

Just want to express that yesterday, I felt a panic attack coming on while out & about in public society (fuck!). I just remember, all completely suddenly and out of nowhere, perceived equilibrium collapsing, the space and distance between people and things expanding thousandfold, people all walking in straight lines looking like microscopic robots or cancer cells in a larger body I couldn't see, there was a point I couldn't feel my body at all (but i could still move perfectly). I recognized this all as preceder to the machine-gun heart-rate and the primal fight-flight-or-freeze response completely taking over, so I booked it the library (only a couple of blocks away), stationed myself at a computer, put on the headphones and turned on Obdurate Ground, which offered instant calming and relief and returned sanity, and the panic attack never had a chance.
So thanks a bunch, DC, you really helped me out. _________________ "The core of all addiction is addiction to the pain of not being seen, the same pain for all of us." - JLL |

| I've been unemployed and looking for work; as soon as I find something, I'll start making monthly donations again. Why? Because OG helps me through my week- seriously. Thanks Dave. |

Thank you gentlemen, I am really glad if the show can help one through a day, or open some musical door.
Music is fucking magic, there is so much out there.
I have a very wide scale that I like to work together and enjoy the sometimes challenge of piecing different styles and moods into a musical quilt if I may.
I am glad you enjoy it. Thank you. _________________ Heal yourself by ritual,
